When This You See, Remember Me

I made this quilt in memory of my two grandmothers. It carries a lot of sweet memories: playing with buttons and the pearl necklace, flowers, having tea, and butterflies in the garden. I love how the super jumbo ric rac gives the outer edge a postage stamp look. The words are written with buttons, including an old Girl Scout uniform button.

See all the fan blocks? Here's the pattern for them.

Beautiful! I'll bet it's so much better "in person," with buttons, rick rack and all.

So many elements and each well done -- the rickrack is a great finishing touch.

Is that a real necklace stitch to the quilt?

Adorable!

Happy Sewing

Yup, it's a real pearl necklace.

You never cease to amaze me Karen on your ideas for quilts. Just love it. Love your new profile photo.

Very nice! Do you have any idea how many quilts you've made? I do know that's quite an unfair question to ask!
