New Silk Quilt Top Finished

Remember I showed you my sewing table recently? This is the quilt that I was auditioning silk fabrics for, and I used almost all of them. This is a custom order quilt for Thelma in the UK. Today I finished the quilt top. I love all the colors; it looks like the flower gardens I'm enjoying this summer. I hope she likes it!

so gorgeous. Is it hard to sew silk? I've never tried.

Oh boy I bet it is even more beautiful in person, somehow the camera never captures the richness of silk and the way the light changes it. Lovely piece. it will be hard to let this one go!

Happy Sewing

Beautiful Karen. What size did it finish? Did you stabilize the silk or sew to a foundation? I love how the colors just sparkle.
