Bookcase Quilt from the Netherlands is Finished!

Marquerite van Eijck of the Netherlands added some great applique to this wonderful selvage bookcase quilt, so I decided to show it to you again. I thought it looked great before, but she had other ideas. You know how quilters are! Isn't this a great quilt? Her selvages make very realistic books!

I love this quilt! How clever to use selvages for book spines. Sure wish I had kept all those selvages I've thrown away before I learned their value.

Now THAT is a great way to use selvages. We have a very handsome collection of books in our home, so I can relate to the look :-) Love it!
