Quilt Diva Julie of Memphis, TN made this gorgeous basket quilt called "Sing the Sun Down." She was inspired by the new book "Freddy and Gwen Collaborate Again" by Gwen Marston and Freddy Moran (reviewed here a few days ago). Look at those basket handles, and I love the colors. Oh, Julie - this is a beauty!

This is gorgeous! Love the pink and brown. Is everyone thinking what I am thinking...that this can inspire a selvage version?
Very nice quilt, love the colors! I love anything Freddy does, I've got two Freddy quilts that need to be finished, lol! I think Margaret is right, I can see selvages.....thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much for sharing this quilt with your blog readers ... and yes, the strip sets for the baskets absolutely could be done with selvages ...
Okay, sounds like somebody is going to make a selvage basket quilt! Aren't those handles amazing? I love those.
Send photos!
