Waste Not, Want Not

Wendy in Chicago made this beautiful "woven-look" selvage wall quilt. It measures about 30" x 30." She also made the backing out of selvages and included them in the sleeve and the label as well. She calls it "Waste Not, Want Not." Wendy has more photos and talks about the making of this quilt on her blog:

So wonderful. Thank you again karen for bringing these to our attention. Unless someone has made one, i don't think people really realize how valuable these selvage quilts are! At $9.50/yd, and often you;re lucky to get one good run of words in a yard, these small wall quilts end up representing literally thousands of dollars worth of fabric! I do love mine, and really look forward to making another. So glad you brought the concept to our attention. :-)
